| View of the Library down Curetes Street |
This week the class started its study tour to western Turkey. We have visited many sites, so it will take multiple blogposts to cover all of the details. However, one of the most memorable has been the ancient city of
Ephesus outside of Izmir. One can follow the layout of the city as it existed so long ago. I have visited many ruins in the past, but nothing so complete in its totality. It really is amazing that it still exists in this form today; it almost feels as if you are walking through town with the original inhabitants. - Alan

It's an awesome place. It must be even better outside the tourist season where there wouldn't be as many people at the place.
