Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all. - Helen Keller.  My most fulfilling accomplishments and experiences, whether they be related to family, career or personal betterment, have come from pushing myself outside my comfort zone.  Butterflies, hesitation and fear of failure have been there each time but, in the end, I know that my life is richer, more fulfilled, because of each experience.  And so here I sit in a small hotel room in Istanbul - a city of 16 million people, ready for the next adventure -  Four months in Turkey.  Alan will be teaching two courses with Georgetown University's International Studies, fall 2014 study abroad program here.  We will be using this blog to document our adventure- keeping our family and friends up to date on our whereabouts and experiences.
